Library & Park KACH Preschool Play Date

We went to the Katy Branch Library today. It is, honestly, the first time I’ve ever taken the kids to the library! They have a weekly preschool story time that is going to become a regular event on our calendar.

Right after story time, we went in and Mom got her Harris County Library Card. Very exciting stuff. I told the children how to go about checking out books (and to not put them back on the shelf wherever they liked). In the end, they were quiet, respectful, and perfect. I’m so proud! They each picked out two books, giving us 6 story time books for home. Well, 5 stories. One of Sarah’s choices turned out to be in Spanish!

Next, we went to the park right around the corner. The kids took off like bullets for the park to play with all the other kids. After about 20 minutes, I was able to finally settle in and introduce myself to some of the other Moms. One of the Moms organized a seed planting activity that Dan and Sarah just loved. I didn’t get a picture of that, but I did snap a shot of our picnic – our blanket got a lot of attention!
