Don’t Make Me Count to Three

Don't Make Me Count to ThreeDon’t Make Me Count to Three by Ginger Plowman

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love the backbone of scripture Plowman uses in explaining her methods and the ideas behind them. The basic idea is to get to the heart of your children and help them see their sins for what they are – and point to Jesus. I also loved the reminder that “rod” goes with “reproof” – we are to discipline AND teach… or rather our discipline is to teach.

Are all her methods right for my family? No, but it was still a very useful and enjoyable book to read. As I read it, I began to wish I treated it like a Bible study from the beginning. That said, I intend to get the companion bible study with it at some point and read through it again.
